Head YouTek vs. Babolat PureStorm?
I'm finally switching over from my Radical TIs to a new racket and would like to go with a more open string pattern. I tried the PureStorm and liked the feel (16x20) and I'm going to try the YouTek Mid (98sqin) and the Speed Elite (100sqin), both with a 16x19 string pattern.
Anyone have experience with both these rackets and if so what are your thoughts? I'm primarily a baseliner and look to set-up the point from the baseline with heavy groundstrokes. I'd like to get some more spin on the kick serve as well which I was able to do with the Babolat.
Additionally, I have a one-handed backhand and I'm not sure if the YouTek mid would be too heavy over the course of a match (11.8 oz compared to my TI which is 10.8).

I play with the K90 but I have played with the Pure Storm and they are very similar, I cannot say for the YouTek, it seems like a marketing gimmick to me. But as far as the Pure Storm goes it is a solid racquet (I am referring to the one without cortex), low powered, gets a lot of pace on both the forehand and backhand. It has a fairly open string pattern so you can generate a lot of spin. But if you are good enough you can generate spin with just racquet head speed. If you are looking for spin I would suggest stringing with Pro Supex Blue Gear, or Pro Supex Big Ace they are great strings for spin, Blue Gear is a poly its has a muted feeling and can help you generate an insane amount of spin. Big Ace will give you alot of feel and touch, plenty of power from both strings and they are cheap if you buy them in a reel of 660'. My friend has a YouTek, I've never played with it, but he says its a solid racquet. He says its plays very similar to the old Pro Tour 600 but it is more muted. Generally when you are buying a new racquet you want to buy a heavier racquet so it plows through the ball an you dont have to deal with arm and shoulder problems
