What are those sunglasses the optometrist gives you when your eyes are dilated?
Hi, what are those sunglasses looking things that when you go to have your eyes checked and dilated that the optometrist gives you to protect your eyes? They are just a strip of like flexible lens that is tinted like a sunglass lens and wraps around your head. I need to purchase some, does anyone know what they are called?
Ok, I searched Mydrispecs online and couldn't find any results. Maybe I describe them wrong. What I am thinking of look kind of like what Cyclops in the X-men movies wears, just with no hardware, just the lens. I really can't imagine them being that difficult to find. Can you perhaps provide me with a picture of what you call Mydrispecs?
The general name is "mydriatic sunglasses." Like the person above me mentioned, you can probably ask your optometrist for one. Otherwise, expect to buy them in bulks.

Hd Vision Wrap Around Sun Glasses
worth trying to get used to new wrap around prescription sunglasses?
I just made new new prescription sunglasses. When I wear them I feel like being underwater.The style is very big lenses and quite curved/wrap around frame. Didn't have to change my prescription that is -2.75 on one eye and and -3.25 with 0.75 astigmatism on the other.
The optician suggested to try them for a few days if it doesn't work out to swap for a "flatter frame".
My question is if trying them, or even getting used to them, can long term damage my vision?

after 2-3 days of trying them out for a couple of hours I got used to them. even drove on the highway without probs. everytime I put them on though there are a few seconds of adjustments but most probably related to the fact that my normal glasses are a very narrow frame/lens compared to the sunglasses.
I have the same issue, just got a new pair today, did you ever get used to them?
