Wilson Tennis Racquets
Does price really matter when it comes to tennis racquets? What are some good options in lower price range?
I recently went to a sporting goods store to look at tennis racquets. Wow, so many to pick from. From 19.99 to couple hundred. All tout some funky technology or have catchy name. After handling a few I noticed that some cheaper ones feel better or lighter than the expensive ones. Is the difference mainly in the string? Do they use some kind of expensive string on the expensive ones? Since it's been a while since I played i bought a $20 Wilson titanium racquet that looks very nice, I will test it out and see and maybe upgrade later. I also bought a $20 Head racquet but that one seems to vibrate more when you bounce the ball on it. Is that caused by a different string tension?
There are a lot of different factors. The more more powerful racquets are heavier and not as stiff, because the player is supplier more of the pace to the ball. The less powerful racquets are usually characterized by a bigger head size, lighter, and a thicker beam (adds stiffness). So go with something that feels good, not just about what its price is. They have expensive racquets for advanced players as well as inexperiences ones. The string they put in all of them is more or less the same- they don't put great string in them from the factory. That's something you can look more into if you want. Also, check out a vibration dampener (or just tie a rubber band at the bottoms of the strings, below the last cross). That should help the vibration.
Bottom line: go with something that feels good- just because something is more expensive doesnt mean its right for you.
p.s. demo-ing racquets is the best thing you can do. make sure u go to a place that lets you do it.

Which Wilson tennis racquet is better?
I'm a beginner at tennis and getting my own racquet. I am looking at Wilson's Roger Federer Signature racquet and Grand Slam racquet.
Which of these is a better one and how do they compare with each other?
Sorry for the confusion. I do not mean the racquet Roger Federer is using. There are 2 Wilson racquets by the name "Roger Federer Signature" and "Grand Slam" racquet.

i really do not recommend feds(BLX six-one tour) racquet for a junior because of the small head size and its pretty heavy. however if u like that racquet mayb try out the BLX six-one lite which has a more generous headsize nd it is easier to play with
