Traditional Polo
Is this a good outfit for a sockhop?
I don't have any of the traditional stuff like poodle skirts etc. so i came up with rolling up my friends jeans (a size too big so theyre kind of baggy) so they look like pedal pushers and a white polo (tucked in) with a pink scarf and curly high pony tail, but i dont know how to do make-up... any suggestions or.. do you like it???
Well it should work... some red lipstick is good too. Also maybe some cat-eye glasses if you can?

To The Women of AfghanistanThe author of “To The Women of Afghanistan” is Sally Armstrong. She published this article on October 26, 2010 in The New York Times. This article is about how badly women in Afghanistan are being treated everyday. One father while playing a game of buzkashi, a traditional polo sport, traded his own daughter for a horse after his horse got injured. The bad part about it is that most of the girls that go to so called “religious men” are beaten and sexually assaulted everyday. The fathers don’t even care that there own daughter is being beaten. Some fathers murder there own daughter and call it honor. The women of Afghanistan are treated badly and it needs to stop.I think that it is very wrong to treat women badly. The worst part is that it is there own father that is giving them up for the dumbest reasons. Especially giving your own daughter for a horse. I think that women should stand up to their fathers and tell them what they think is right. They should be able to make their own decisions and shouldn’t have to rely on their father. Women should also have their own rights to what they want to do. It is very bad that the fathers even know what’s going on and still don’t do anything about. The women of Afghanistan need to stand up for their rights.
Tough to tell if this is more or less dangerous than traditional polo, but I'll put my bet on “less dangerous” since the bike doesn't have a brain of it's own that the rider would have to contend with — no chance of the bike getting spooked or disgreeing with the rider's commands.
