pro tennis players on tour - who pays for their flights?
If youre a professional tennis player on the atp tour who pays for your flights? also how do the players who dont usually get past the first round make enough money?
Even the best pay for their own flights. They get a special airline deal that allows them to travel anywhere, and to leave whenever they need to. If you lose early, you leave right away. If you make it to the finals, you leave way later. If your ranking improves, you may get into a tournament somewhere else you couldnt have anticipated before. There are different types of business people that have similar deals. A major tournament will provide players in the main draw hotel accommodations, even at the International junior level. Once you lose, you lose your room. Poorer players often bunk up together with guys still in the tournament til the next city on tour.
Lower ranked, poorer players usually stay in their own country to play, or travel to different countries and stay there playing many pro events.
