i cant seem to find out when a surf competition, or a surf tour is coming to florida. PLEASE help!!
Check your local break out on Surfline, they are pretty up to date on what's going on.

Dancing With the Stars: More Talks About the Tour
Dancing with the Stars has proven to be more than just a hit reality competition, but has also received positive comments from participants. In fact, most of them have nothing to say except positive things of their experiences both on the road and on the show. In fact, actor Joey Lawrence and professional dance partner Edyta Sliwinska, who have been part of the tour for three consecutive seasons since 2006, has sat down with TVGuide to let us in on their experiences on the production.
In the interview, Lawrence explained his reasons why he kept signing up for the tour. He said, "Because they treat us great. They give us a beautiful ride [to] travel across the country. The bus is just incredible. It's just a big party out there. It's fun."
Lawrence, who has previously appeared on shows Gimme A Break and Blossom, said that it is appealing that the show gave him a chance to travel the country "in a whole new light."
As for the tour, both Lawrence and Sliwinska believe that it is a more mentally tiring yet amusing challenge that they enjoy, as they don't face as much pressure as they do during the competition itself. The pair enjoys the appreciation from the fans and viewers, and the volume of people who actually make the effort to come out and see them perform.
"On the show, even though it's a smaller room, you feel the magnitude of what you're doing. You see the people in the audience," Lawrence explained. "And it's a lot larger in terms of the number of people. When there are 7,000 or 10,000 people, it's just loud. And there are lots of lights, so you don't see anyone and it becomes one big blur. Edyta and I just go out there and we do our thing. And at the end, you hear the applause and it's awesome. 10,000 people make a lot of noise."
Sliwinska has been part of all five seasons of Dancing with the Stars, but she has not confirmed whether she's going in for the sixth, which begins on March 17.
"We only find out two weeks before the training starts. We're released from our contract if we're not picked up for the show. But I love the show," she said. "It's kind of comfortable to have [dancers] who know what they're doing, and then once in a while, to bring in a new [pro] dancer."

I think most players usually plan ahead at least a few months and decide which tournaments they are going to enter. They create a schedule for themselves to make sure that they play enough tournaments, but at the same time not play too many and get fatigued. Most of the time, there are a few tournaments going on simultaneously so the players can choose which ones to play at (providing they qualify). I'm pretty sure their choice is based on the surface, the location, how they've done in the past at the tournament and just in general, how much they like the tournament. But there isn't really a "tour" that they go on.
Yes, they go on tour and are pretty much constantly travelling. A top tennis player can easily be travelling for more than 40 weeks a year.
After they lose in a tournament, I think it varies what they choose to do. If they lose very early in the tournament, most will probably go home and spend time with their family or train. A few choose to stick around at the tournament for a few days, supporting their friends who are still left.
Yes, they have official player hotels where they stay during tournaments.
