I haven't heard the comments you refer to. But using refernces such as where someone is from is hardly a demonstration of racism. Far less ridiculous than you assuming that because someone is South African they must be racist if they (god forbid) use the adjective "chinese women" to refer to people that are a) chinese and b) women. Watching Australian tv the last fortnight I've heard 1000 references to the "the Australians", but it's a reference to the people and where they are from, not racism. Don't be so desperate to see racism in anything you possibly can

College Tennis: The U.S. Open
College tennis the United States is organized by the National Collegiate Athletics Association. Each year, many high school tennis athletes are hoping to get noticed during college tennis recruiting.
The open era in American tennis began in 1968 when five separate US tennis events were merged into the U.S. Open. It was held at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, New York. Also, the 1968 combined tournament became open to professionals for the first time. A total of 96 men and 63 women entered the event, and the overall prize money amounted to a grand total of $100,000.
Originally, the U.S. Open for men was a separate event from the U.Ss Open for women. The U.S. National Singles Championship was first held in August 1881, at the Newport Casino, in Newport, Rhode Island. Only clubs that were already members of the United States National Lawn Tennis Association were granted permission to participate. Six years after the inauguration of the men's tournament, the first U.S. Women's National Singles Championship was held in 1887, at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. This was followed by the U.S. Women's National Doubles Championship in 1889. The first U.S. Mixed Doubles Championship was held simultaneously with the women's singles and doubles. The U.S. National Men's Doubles Championship was first played in 1900.
The U.S. Open, from its beginnings as an exclusive tournament for those in high society, has become a championship open to more than 600 male and female professional players And, as of 2008, the total prize money is over $19 million, with $1.5 million for each winner of the singles tournaments.
The Internet has proven to be a useful venue for both student tennis athletes and coaches involved in the process of college tennis recruiting. There are many websites and online forums wherein students and scouts can come together and interact.
