tennis twist serve slice

How do you do a twist serve, if I already know Slice/Topspin-Slice/Kick serve?

Ok, I'm 100% sure I can properly do a slice serve, a topspin-slice serve, and a kick serve. I'm a righty by the way.

I've been watching videos of people doing twist serves, reading websites such as this one:( http://www.operationdoubles.com/how_hit_twist_serve_tennis.htm )

I've been trying to learn this twist serve since 4-5 months ago, and so far I've only been able to twist a ball out of luck.

Can somebody please maybe explain how to migrate from a kick/ topspin-slice over to a twist? I've tried everything, like mimicking other players movements and reading all sorts of articles, but I can't get it down.

I also read that it is recommended that you use an Eastern backhand grip to do a twist serve; however, this is awkward for me and I tend to hit the ball with my frame or completely mishit it. Is it possible to start out a twist serve using a continental grip? (I realize that this will give me less spin. Will it still be enough, though?)

eastern backhand grip is the way to go if you want a twist serve with your parallel to the baseline before serving. toss the ball a bit to the back while you also bend back. hit the ball as it is falling and give it a flick to give it a spin sideways (not a frontal spin like you do in top spin serves). because of the sideways spinning as it moves through the air, wind resistance will cause it to twist just like in baseball. hope this help. also it's not as easy as changing grips. you need to practice from the tossing, the backward bend, the timing of your hit, how you use you ab muscles, and the flick. this serve needs a lot of practice.

3 Types of tennis serve

Tennis Serves?

I have a few serves that i want to learn but i am not sure how to do them. The ones that i want to learn are: flat serve, twist serve, and topspin slice serve. What is the best stance and racket positioning for each of these serves. Please explain in detail or show me a good website for these serves that explain in detail. My flat serve is fast but goes in maybe 10% of the time. Im still attemting the twist serve. Its doing pretty good. I have no clue how to do the topspin slice serve. Please Explain. Thank you.

I think you have to buy a membership but www.tennisplayer.net has some really good articles on all those types of serves.
