Tennis Training Equipment

Is it wrong to join both my own tennis club and a rival club too?
I'm joined club A.
It's fine, nothing posh and its only about a fiver per year. It doesn't bother me that it doesn't have the greatest equipment or whatever, but what does bother me is that there are so few people to play.
And they are NOT committed.
I went to training last sunday and Nobody else showed up.
It's not the first time this has happened.
They won't play when it's raining or cold or windy and we live in Ireland!!!
So there's a bigger club a little further away who we play in competitions sometimes and I am thinking of joining there too. So I can play people and get better.
Actually I think I almost definitely will.
What do you think?
I mean i understand that you care about your tennis and want to get better. I think its best to quit your old one, and just be on your new team. But my son goes to 2 clubs and once his original club found out, they were fine with it. So if you want, just go to both. Make sure to let the old club know.

Workout routine for tennis? Weight training...?
I am really trying to improve on my game over the summer. I get plenty of cardio, and I am working with a tennis instructor on extensive footwork drills. I just would like to get more power behind my swings.
I need a weight training workout. I want to focus mostly on my upper body and core. I have a gym membership, so I have access to all types of workout equipment, although I prefer free weights.
Can anyone give me a good solid routine, or maybe a few suggestions as to which workouts yield the best results? Thanks!
squats (and their variations) are the best, overall exercise one can do. your game and power will improve with this exercise, but technique is everything, so be careful.
bench press is also beneficial, but again, be very careful. i permanently stretched the ligaments of my shoulder doing bench press back in 1987. since, my shoulder has come out of joint on several occasions. as a result, my serve is only 70% of what it used to be. i'd recommend perfect-technique push-ups over weights, actually.
if you dig gyms then fine. but i prefer working out in the great outdoors: squats, push-ups, dips, chin-ups, crunches, kicks, etc. you can build amazing strength by doing creative, unconventional exercise outdoors, without gym equipment.
also, sprint training. moving fast is so very important in this sport. you may already be doing enough of this with your "footwork coach"? i don't know.
