How do I fix my broken forehand in tennis?
I have the standard forehand where the index knuckle is on the large side of the grip(parallel to the face of the strings.
When I start a rally with my backhand, the plane of my swing is perfect and I hit a good deep shot. Also when I am rallying and the ball is hit to my backhand, i have a normal swing and the ball goes back just fine.
My forehand is a different story. When I start a rallly and hit with the forehand, the ball goes out 90% of the time. The swing just doesnt feel natural. Im gettin the racket back in plenty time, keeping eye on ball.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
I'm too stubborn and pressed for time to go get lessons bc of my hectic schedule. What I do is I bought a tripod and mounted my digital camera. Then I recorded my groundstrokes (in video recording mode). When watching playback I can analyze things like, whether i'm hitting in front of my body, if i keep my wrist back, low to high motion, if i'm hitting the sweet spot, shoulder turn, etc... Sounds though like you're using an eastern grip for all your shots. You should really use the continental for your backhand but if its broke don't fix it. If your shots are going long, move to the semi-western, which is the next bevel down and brush up more on the ball. Putting spin on the ball produces a Magnus effect which creates a difference in air pressure and pulls the ball down.

tennis string for ksix one tour?
ok, my current hybrid strings for my ksix one tour is dead, im currently using luxilion big banger, and gamma natural guts. both of them are of tension 50. can anyone recommend me some good hybrid strings, pereferablly luxilion in the hybrid. i have enough control on my shot, just that my shot land short, so maybe you can recommend some good strings. thanks
Try Wilson NXT or Babolat XCel with Luxilon. If your looking for a cheaper alternative (which you probably don't seeing the natural gut), get the Babolat Addiction or Wilson Sensation 16 with Luxilon. Sensation will only work if you have never broken your crosses before.

That's really unfortunate for you to go through. I think that you should try talking to your mom and let her know that you really are doing your best at tennis. Tell her that it's something you enjoy doing and you want to continue it, but it's really hard (and hurtful) when she tells you to quit or doesn't even believe in you. Get her to understand that, as a mother, she should be there for support, encouragement and love – not the exact opposite. She needs to understand that you're just a child and hurting you is all she is doing!
