Tennis Socks Who has tried or does wear skater shoes like vans, dc, dv, or etnies, or tennis shoes with no socks?
My girlfriend wants to try wearing her shoes without socks, some of her friends do it and they say its comfy. Does anyone else think its comfy. Please tell me in detail how ur feet feel in shoes with no socks? Should she do it?
It should not be a problem. I always wear tennis shoes without socks, and been wearing sneakers without socks year round for nearly 25 years. I see a lot of people wearing sneakers without socks, and if you choose the right sneaker, you can wear them without socks very comfortably. Your girlfriend can wear her sneakers without socks if she wants to. All the sneakers I own I wear without socks, and I also worn skater shoes such as Etnies, and Vans without socks, and they are very comfortable to wear without socks.

Toe Socks Are Good For Your Feet
4 Types of Toe Socks
Both fun and fashionable, toe socks are great for your foot’s health and comfort. Toe socks give your feet the opportunity to breathe and let loose. Stretching your toes is a wonderful exercise to keep your toes in shape. Another benefit of toe socks is that they do not slip off your feet like regular socks do. Toe socks are snug. Toe socks have a separate section for each of your toes. This means that there is more fabric between your toes, which means they will keep you warmer than regular socks during the winter.
Men’s toe socks- Men’s toe socks come in a variety of solid colors like gray, black and white as well as masculine prints like camouflage. Men’s toe socks can also be worn with flip-flops or as foot support during sports like golf and tennis.
Toe socks for kids-When choosing toe socks for kids, choose from stripes and bright colors like blue, purple, orange and green. Toe socks for kids are lots of fun and great to show off to others!
Yoga toe socks/ Yoga toe sox- Great for stability while doing yoga. They help with flexibility and strength, so your toes can stretch like nature intended.
Silky half-socks- During the summer, you typically do not want your socks to show while wearing a pair of shorts or a dress. The great thing about half-socks is that they are less prone to slip off your foot since each toe has its own compartment.
Funny how you post this just after I was talking to someone about one of my favorite short-story opening lines. ^_^ I happen to like your original opening line best, as it is somewhat stylistic and evokes a certain reaction from me, but I’m also (a) an atypical reader and (b) not likely to have the reaction you were expecting or going for, so I can completely understand changing it. Of course, the other two versions given retain variations on the same effect, so that’s good. For the record, I was telling a friend about the first line from William Gibson’s “Johnny Mnemonic”, which goes like this: “I put the shotgun in an Adidas bag and padded it out with four pairs of tennis socks, not my style at all, but that was what I was aiming for: If they think you’re crude, go technical; if they think you’re technical, go crude.” Very much a grounding in the physical before getting to the abstract, so you’re in good company there.
I've always thought that the washing machine hid my socks, that one day a repair man would find a complete family of mismatch socks clustered around the motor drinking wine and celebrating laundry day. In an attempt to eliminate a drawer full of single socks, I mostly wear white tennis socks. They disappear too, but what's left is a single sock that will fit in with the rest of the socks in drawer.
I’ve done this for years. Every 3-4 years, I throw all my socks away and spend $40 and get all new ones, all the same. They all wear about the same anyway. I throw away any with holes, etc. When I’m down to 7-8 pair, $7 worth, I just toss them all, and start over. I have white ankle tennis socks and black socks for work/dress shoes. Saves me so much time, it’s worth it.
