What tennis raquet should I buy?
I am a beginner at playing tennis. I want a good cheap tennis raquet, what should I look for, any brand or length or any certain specs? I have a walmart and dicks sporting goods close to me
My suggestion would be to go to a pro shop at a tennis court that sells them. While it might be slightly more you can at least demo the racket as for a good tennis racket for you it is a bit complicated because it all depends on your playing style, the size of your hands, and how good you are. So again I would suggest demoing rackets and seeing which ones you like. But Wilson is good and well priced for beginers.

How tight should I grip the tennis raquet?
My coach has been telling me I grip it too hard, but if I don't squeeze it tight, sometimes it rotates in my hand when I am hitting fast incoming balls.
Sometime ago I was just browsing through a training vid by nick bollettieri. I remember him mention that if your skin under your nails starts becoming white it means you're gripping the racquet too tight which is not right.
Also, it must be rotating since your not hitting the ball from the sweet spot of the racquet, but closer to the frame (it happens with me also). As you get better, you'll be striking more balls from the sweet spot so the rotating should reduce.
