tennis racquet stringing equipment

What should I consider when buying a tennis racquet?
I am playing tennis on my high school team. We practice for 2 hours every day after school. I'm looking to replace my "wal-mart" racquet with one that doesn't....suck. I'm fairly new to the game. I've played off and on for a few years, but only now am I concerned about my equipment, which I'm sure can help me improve my game. In your answer, include things I should know about racquets. ie:sizing, strings, weight, etc. Also, include what type of gear YOU use, and what products you might recommend. Thanks in advance!
i like to play with finesse and accurate shots and i use a lot of spin. what should i get as far as string tension goes?
It depends on your playing style. Fitness and accurate are not good words to describe your game.
A lot of racquets are categorized by swing types, like short and fast or long and slow, etc. Also the weight of the racquet, some racquets are so ridiculously light. Not many are very heavy but some are fairly heavy.
Also oversize and midplus racquets. I personally like midplus since they usually allow you to string it a lot lower then oversize racquets. Also oversize racquets are usually so big and light its kindof annoying. Type of string is generally not a huge deal but it can affect how long it might last and how much spin.
Gear i guess you refer to shorts and t-shirt. I tend to wear a shirt that doesnt get soaked since you may sweat a lot during the game. Also buy shoes you dont care about since they will most likely get destroyed (your gonna get those red/green/blue marks on them)
I suggest trying out demo racquets and eventually if you can buy the demo racquet since there much cheaper used. Also look online to find used racquets since they are a lot cheaper.

Coaching in the Sport of Tennis
Beginning to coach tennis is one way to help others stay physically fit as well as wins the game that they want to. If you are working towards a profession of teaching tennis, you will want to make sure that you know exactly what you are walking into. By going into the court prepared, you will be able to keep the ball over the net and get your player to make the right moves.
The two major pieces of equipment that you will need to start are a tennis racquet and a tennis ball. When you are looking at the racquet, you will want to make sure that it has the necessary qualities to stay in good shape. This first begins by having a frame that will help you to control the movement of the ball. It also means that you will want the interior strings of the racquet to stay in place and to be wired together correctly.
This is the only major piece of equipment that any tennis player will need. When you begin to teach professionally for tennis, you will want to make sure that this equipment is matched on both sides. You will also want to make sure that you can show the player that you are coaching basic and advanced techniques. This begins with showing them how to hold a racquet to helping them get the harder moves back over the net. Showing them maneuvers as they learn will help them to be more effective in their game.
Before you walk into any court, you want to make sure that you are equipped for the challenges that you will be given. For a coach, this first means finding the right equipment. It then means making sure that the right moves are able to be made. Having experience with the game and knowing exactly how to keep moving the ball back over the net can help you to succeed with your players.
