Tennis Racquet String Tension?
my tennis coach told me my racquet's tension is very high and ya i can feel myself because every time i hit the ball i could feel high vibration even with cortex dampening(babolat). my coach offered to use his racquet which is of lesser tension. the feel was totally different, however i not sure if i should restring to a lower tension.
i think in the end, what really matters is your feeling to that tension. if you feel liking it, why change?
however, do know the consequences. higher tension is on the contrary to what several misbelievers says, is very unforgiving. you MUST bring your OWN control because by physics, the tighter the trampoline, the shorter the object stays and this provides almost zero control. by control it really meant that YOU are the one providing control, not the tension of the string. this is pretty obvious if you do can hit such stroke as forehand inside-out. see if you can consistently hit it cross-court with this tension. if you like it, why change?
higher tension also means you need to hit dead center. off center hits causes the entire racquet frame twists and almost surely you can feel the vibration, from your wrist to your shoulder. this is pretty obvious when intercepting heavy flat balls at the net with a backhand volley. again, if you master this, why change?
just remember to play it safe and do not take any unnecessary risks.

Tennis Racquet Stringing
What is the best type of string for a tennis racquet?
I got a new unstrung volkl racquet. What is the best type of string for it?
Most racquets will have a recommended string listed on the frame, generally on the inside of the throat....the recommended tension should be listed as well. If there's not one listed there, you could start with Wilson sensation or Gamma zo life. These are both good, all around strings. For more control, string with a little more tension. For more power, string with a little less tension. Experiment until you find the combination you like best!

Our backyard became infested with hornets one year. Over the course of a weekend, my father killed them all by stomping around the yard to spook them out of their holes each morning and waiting on the porch with a covered tennis racquet to face them in single combat. All in all, close to forty angry hornets lay dead around the porch Sunday afternoon. Our summer wasn’t interrupted by anything scarier than a locust that year.
