I have a tennis racket that is 2 pts head light and 10.6 oz, how much lead tape to add to get 7 hl and 11.6oz?

the racquet is a Prince O3 Hybrid Hornet Midplus..
this is my back up racquet so i just want to make it feel a bit better.
so yea its 2 points head light, and it is 10.6oz, i want to get it 7 points head light and around 11.6oz.
can someone tell me how much lead tape i need to put on my racquet and where?
im thinking most of it on the handle but some around the frame.

thanks

I can tell you exactly what you're looking for if you tell me what model frame you are trying to match your Hybrid Hornet to.

Great way to calculate where to put how much weight for matching two frames. But for the most accurate results, I need to be able to put in the swingweight of both frames. I can find that if I at least know what model it is.

head-heavy to head-light racquet.?

I have a head-heavy racquet and I've read that a person using this type of racquet is more prone ro tennis elbow as compared to head light racquet. Can i then put a lead tape between the shaft and the handle to make it head light? plz help. thanks

A head heavy racket can lead to a slower racket speed and later contact. Late and off-center contact is a severe aggravating factor for tennis elbow. So, with that in mind, a head heavy racket can hurt your elbow if you're prone to getting the racket through the contact point late.

Stiffness of the frame is another factor. For years people thought a stiff racket was better for tennis elbow. However, in the mid-90's, finally a definitive study came out that proved that each player's arm reacts differently to stiffness. So, some players benefit from a flexible racket while others benefit from a stiffer frame. I suggest you experiment with both to see if you can sense a difference in the stress levels on your elbow.

String types and tensions can also offer you relief. A multi-filament nylon string will be softer, and better on your arm. Natural gut is the best for your arm, but is rather expensive. Keep in mind, if you go with multi-filaments or natural gut, don't neglect restringing your racket. Restring as many times in a year as you play in a week. Twice a week playing means every 6 months. An expensive string that is dead is just as detrimental as a kevlar hybrid type string. And, while I'm mentioning it, stay away from Kevlar, Aramid, or Polyester type strings. VERY harsh on the arm! If you're a frequent string breaker and need these types of hybrid strings, go with the Polyester compared to the other two. And, you can use a multifilament in your cross strings to take some of the bite out.

And yes, adding weight will always change the balance and playing characteristics of the frame. You can make a head heavy racket head light, and vice versa. However, with all the racket choices out there I'd suggest demo'ing a few to find a good factory fit. That way you can have multiple rackets that will play similarly without agonizing yourself in trying to balance multiple rackets. And, if you put the tape below the 3 and 9 o'clock points, it will move the weighting toward headlight. And, it will also move your sweetspot lower, so be forewarned.

And the lower the tension, the easier on the arm. But beware, tension changes can result in stroke changes, so it's not my first choice to relieve tennis elbow.

I lived with tennis elbow for over 20 years. From age 16 to retirement at 34, I used the same racket (Wilson Pro Staff although it changed names over the years) and the same string (16g synthetic gut) at the same tension (64#). As long as I stayed within those parameters, I could play all day, everyday, no problem. If any of those factors changed, my elbow almost immediately felt it.
