what's the difference between a man's tennis racquet and a woman's?
I'm a girl and I wanted to know what's the difference, and also if I can use any racquet as long as I find the right grip size for me.
Not much. In most cases, the only difference is that they tend to have larger string-faces and a lighter weight, so as to help players produce more power and have increased margin for error in baseline rallies. Given that few women, even on the pro tour, are consistent net rushers, the reduced feel and precision do not tend to create a problem for players using these racquets. Aside from those minor differences, however, the big selling point is color and style. Even a male player who needs help producing power is unlikely to head out to the court sporting the latest in bright pink tennis racquets. For a woman though, that would be much more acceptable.

i think you got it wrong, there are two scales that mean the same thing, American which is in inches and European which is the same.
4 1/2 is actually 4 4/8 and is European size 4 (the number of 1/8)
it can not be 1/2 =3.
