Some tennis problems. I want to hear others' opinions.?
I recently restrung my racket and I began to hit with it with my friend the other day. I'm usually a power hitter, but this time, I would swing as hard as I could and it would barely go past the service line. I tried my other racket with older, looser strings and I was back to normal. Is it because my new strings are too tight b/c that is what it seems like to me. Plus, if it is my tension, how can I bring down the tension of my strings without cutting them?
Is it possible to stand on the racket strings to loosen them up?
what tension did you string it at? sounds to me like you had it strung in the high 60's if your swinging with all your strength and still nothing. Another problem could be the string you put in your racket, you might have put a string you've never played with that is more for control or spin, this could do it. and the only way to loosen it is cut them out and replace them, or keep hitting with it until it loosens up. best of luck
