Tennis Racket Head Sizes I need help with a tennis grip size.?
Okay, so I just bought a new tennis racket off the internet, and it had asked for grip size, and I have NO idea about my grip size. I read some on the internet about how to measure your own grip size, but I'm still iffy about it. I'm a pretty small girl 5'1", and my hands are small, so I picked the 1/8 grip. I play with adult size rackets and the current racket I'm using is the Head Liquidmetal radical racket.
Was that a good size grip for me?
Hold your hand flat, with the fingers alongside one another. Measure from the middle crease of your palm, up the line between your middle and ring fingers, to a point equal to the height of the tip of your ring finger. For the average woman, this measurement will fall between 4 1/8" and 4 3/8", for men between 4 1/2" and 4 3/4".

tennis racket tension for a head ti s5?
i have a Head Ti S5 which I bought in korea 6 years ago. it has a pretty large head size at 107". I'm trying to get back into playing again (its been 4 years) and I'm trying to figure out if I should get a new racket or just get this one re-strung. when I used this racket years ago, i often hit the ball out so if I strung it at a higher tension so i can get more control, would that screw up my game because it's supposed to be a power racket (its really light weight)? i'm thinking of just getting a new racket because this one is pretty beat up anyway. i'm really short (5'0") and i'm trying to gain control of my game so i figure a smaller head like 95-97" would be good at a higher tension but what tension should i start at?
unless u want to play state grade later than i don't think you should get a new racquet. on ur racquet throat there should be a recomendation of the weight you should string it at. string it around there (like the middle ex. 50lb-60lb u wood string it at 55 or 57)
