What does this invite mean?
I got an invitation to a party and it says:
"We request that everyone's attire for the evening will be as formal as possible and that if you are able to bring the following items it would be most helpful... a digital camera, pair of tennis shoes and a jacket"
Its for a girls sweet 16 surprise party. does that mean like as formal as my homecoming dress?
It means you should wear the most formal thing you have - and bring a digital camera and tennis shoes (but not wear them). If that dress is the most formal thing you have then you should probably wear that, unless it's short or low-cut.
