Tennis Clothes Plus

What is your favorite Grand Slam tennis tournament?
I know Wimbledon has the most history and tradition, but the grass surface eliminates too many players. Plus, it seems so uptight and stuffy, with the all-white clothing requirement, etc. The French Open is a good test of endurance, but that surface is hardly neutral either. And the Australian is easily the least prestigious of the four. Personally, I prefer the US Open. Hard courts are the fairest surface for all players. The crowd seems more into it, more raucous, plus it's in New York City, the greatest city in the world.
I come from NYC so it has to be the U.S. Open. But really, I think it's the best because it's the last Grand Slam of the year and the hard court is the fairest tennis surface... except for players with bad knees.
The Australian Open is way too hot, plus it's so early in the year. Are the players up to 100% form after their winter break? And it's half way around the world for many viewers.
The French Open and Wimbledon are specialist surfaces. Americans have a tough time playing on clay because there's few clay surfaces in the U.S. Spaniards don't typically do well in Wimbledon because they train a lot on clay, although Ferrero and Nadal have been impressive this year.
This is for men though... It seems women's tennis is less specialized. Any top player can win any of the Grand Slams. And it's less top heavy these days than maybe 5 years ago when we were watching the Williams sisters playing against each other in finals.

Laura Rapping Plus Freaky Asian
How do you carry school stuff? HELP!!!!?
ok, I have a big binder, a lunch, a folder, and ushally i txtbook or 2. Plus i have a small bag for all my sports stuff (clothes, tennis, perfume) so iv tried 2 hand bags, 1 big bag, a messenger bag, a big backpack and no matter what... its hard to get everything where it goes in my locker and stuff so does anyone have advice on how to carry stuff or what to use? thanks please
Sounds like you're carrying a lot. So, instead of carrying so many things, try and cut down on things you don't need. Maybe use more than one binder so that you only need to bring home what you need and not much more; Think about how much you DON'T need in that huge binder for one night's work. If you have only math homework, why bring home math, science, AND social studies?
Use a backpack with two shoulder straps so that the weight is evenly distributed throughout your back. Try and carry as many things as possible in your backpack. Cut down on the things you bring. Instead of bringing sneakers in your bag, try wearing one pair the whole day. Good luck.

Proper clubbing attire, espcecially in Europe is very dressed up. This means fancy and very stylish leather shoes, preferably loafers? Clothes need to be very stylish and dressed up. Nice button up shirts, vests, etc. I would suggest looking at Armani Exchange for some inspiration.
I agree, the Williams sisters are truly talented and prove it constantly but their choice in tennis clothes from time to time not so great, though Venus usually is the better dresser. .. this is one of the poor outfits. ..
They guilted me into playing… Laura went with me, with beer, and we had already had a couple of glasses of wine. So, I played, then went to the party all sweaty and in my tennis clothes. LOL! I have a headache today.
