Tennis Clothes Ladies

How do you react to snobby retail sales people?

Ok. This just happened to me today, so excuse me if i sound like i'm ranting and raving! But, I walked into a little clothing boutique because I needed to find a dress to wear to a wedding and was completely ignored by the sales woman. She even did one of those up and down looks (if I had known there was dress code to go shopping I wouldn't have worn my jeans and tennis shoes)! She then, was extraordinarily helpful to another group of ladies. I don't want to sound like a different kind of snob, but I wanted to yell, "Hey, I have an undergraduate degree from Smith and Master's from Princeton and just because I choose to spend my money on books and travel, it doesn't mean you have to treat me like shit!" Argh. I was, and still am, so angry. I WAS going to buy something, but i just ended up walking out. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Or do i need to relax? And if it has happened to you, how did you handle it?
