Prince of Tennis-2007 Calendar!
ATP Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, Dubai,
Murray, who was forced to quit his quarter-final match with Richard Gasquet last year in Dubai, made the most stunning of debuts at the Championships in 2008 with straight set wins over four-time Dubai champion Roger Federer. He will be hoping for a repeat performance this year.
The Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships 2010 offers an all-star field. The Championships actually begin with the Women’s Open on 14th February and is set to have 10 out of the top 10 women’s players in the world at the Dubai Tennis Stadium.
At least seven of the top 10 men’s players will be in action for the ATP tournament at the same venue the following week, including Murray and Federer.
The Championships, which comprises the only ATP 500 and WTA Premier 5 tournaments in the United Arab Emirates, will parade a sensational line up. This includes both men’s and women’s defending champions Novak Djokovic and Venus Williams, as well as four-time Champion Roger Federer.
Grandstand tickets for the event went on sale on Sunday 10th January at Time Out Tickets. Check out more at www.timeouttickets.com or by calling 8004669. Fans can also purchase their tickets from the Dubai Tennis Stadium Box Office in Garhoud. Tickets range in prices from as little as AED 30 for Day One of both tournaments to 200 AED for Finals Days.
The Championship comprises the only ATP 500 and WTA Premier 5 sanctioned tournaments in the Middle East. The elite status makes Dubai not only the most highly-regarded tennis tournament in the region, but one of the most prestigious events on both the ATP and WTA Tour calendars, with a total estimated prize money of US $4 million to the winners this year.
The Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, commences on Sunday 14th February 2010 with the WTA Tour event and continues with the ATP mens tournament from Monday, February 22nd – 27th.
Most hotels will be fully booked, so book your villas or apartments in Dubai early, to avoid any disappointment.
