apparel - for just training and leisure games, you can wear anything you feel most comfortable with. for tournaments, some has certain code of clothing to follow. you will want your tops made from materials that quickly absorbs sweat and can quickly dry. for example, Nike Dri-Fit. many other brands with same material characteristics are available right now. you may also consider wearing hat when playing in the sun. use headband to prevent sweat gets in to your eyes, wristbands to keep your palm dry. bring some towels as well. you will also need good and thick pair of socks.
vibration dampeners - string dampener made of elastic material to be inserted between two middle mains below lowest cross string. actually only reduces very little of vibration. for better dampening effect, look for racquets with vibration dampeners embedded into the frame. for example, Wilson Triad series or the more current Wilson K Factor K Three. this kind of vibration dampeners really works and you can try it for yourself (ask for a demo like provided by tennis-warehouse.com). you will feel those racquets are more comfortable.
