Strung Tennis Racquet
Just got my tennis racquet re-strung, will it loosen up?
I got my racquet re-strung. I play everyday, but yesterday it was difficult to play because my racquet had been re-strung the day before. The person who re-strung my racquet said the tension would loosen up, but now I'm worried it won't. How long does it usually take the strings to loosen up a bit?? Thanks!
Yes, it will definitely loosen up, probably within the first few hours of play. It depends on how loose you want it. If it is very tight then it might take several hours of play to get it to the desired tension. Don't worry, it's just like breaking in a baseball mitt.
