String Hybrid
Has anyone tried a tennis string hybrid with topspin cyberpower or cyberflash together?
Either with cyber power in the mains and cyber flash in the crosses or vice versa. What did you think about it? At what tension did you string it?
Your question intrigued me as I've never tried either, but reading the descriptions and user posts make them sound like very reasonable strings to try. They actually are quite economical especially when compared to high end poly and co-poly competitors, too.
My recommendation is to start with a hybrid using cyberflash 17 g in the mains, with a soft multifilament like Wilson NXT for the crosses stringing at around 60-61 lb if you use a mid size. That would be an extremely playable, very spin friendly durable combo. The Cyberpower is softer and not as durable from its specs and I'd be tempted to try it as a standalone string at 16 g around 62-63 lb for the midsize, but it still would be useful as a combo for a hybrid similar to the Flash specs. I personally wouldn't hybrid the 2 Cybers together as they are a little too similar for me.
It helps if you can compare with an identical racket strung with something else like Luxilon, Pro Hurricane or even a basic synthetic like Prince so you have a reference point.
In the end, your experience and opinion is the only one that counts, but I think the combo above should work well.
