Sign Art Plaque

Can someone identify painting signed "Masse" with an initial in front of Masse.?

On the frame is a small cardboard gold plaque with "HC" printed on it. My mother told me it meant Honorable Commandement from the Paris Museum of Art.

There is one initial in front of the Masse. It looks like J.

Does anyone have a copy of J Masse's signature.

If you go to the artnet site (I'll put the link) there are three paintings by Jean Eugène Julien Massé (1856-1950) . If you click on the images they will enlarge and you can see the signature in the bottom right hand corner of the first painting. Also putting link to a gallery which has some of his works, more images on there.

If this isn't it there is another J Masse (earlier) also on artnet, plus other artists with the surname Masse that you could check.
