Shock Wilson how do you get a wilson shock trap on?
Ok, this may sound a little complicated at first, but if you stay with me you will correctly get your Wilson Shock Trap on. First you have to locate your two center main strings, main strings are the long vertical strings that run up and down the racket. Virtually every racket made has an even number of main strings usually either 16 or 18. You must also insert your shock trap below or outside of the lowest cross string, that is the lowest horizontal side to side string. Ok, now Find the two mainstrings in the center of your frame, imagine these strings as dividers for your dampener from the middle. This means that half of the shock trap will be inserted from the left center main string and continue to the left. And the other half of the shock trap will be inserted from the right center main string and out to the right. Each side of the 4 shock trap blocks has a slit for a string to be pushed into that slit until it slides into place. Then all you do is weave the shock trap through the main strings and insert a string by pushing it through each side slit until your shock trap has 8 total mainstrings inserted, thats two mainstrings for each block (one string on each side of the block) on the damper. So the two mainstrings divide each half of the dampener so it is centered at the bottom of your racket when you are finished. Be sure to push each block onto a main string far enough so that you can insert the other mainstring on the opposite side of each block.

Novak's no longer using a wilson racquet. Were you aware of this?
I saw some of his pics on yahoo tennis yest and was shocked to see him using a white head racquet. Just wondering if I'm the only person who noticed this yesterday or are there other people also who were not aware of this. I hope it doesn't adversely affect his play.
Even I can't find any article as such but there's a pic of him even sitting next a head bag. There was some youtube vid I saw and they showed him practicing with the head racquet. Lets wait for his 1st match, I'm sure he'll be using the head racquet there. Also, people have been saying his contract with wilson was for just 1 year.
its true, he switched to head. i pretty sure it is a custom mold. it hasn't been announce to due contract agreements but he is definitely switching. i think it was a pretty wise choice.
