The best tennis racket?

I am 13 and I just got back into tennis. I had been playing for 3 or 4 years before I stopped. What type of racket should I get. I am intermediate/advanced and I weigh 115 and I am 5'2. The last racket I had was a prince, and I don't know much about all the new technology in frames and strings stuff. What brand and model should I get? What grips and accessories should I get like hats, shorts, and shoes. Right now I have a pair of skate shoes. Do I need a shock dampener? And what ways can I make my racket look cool? Like grips and strings and stuff? Sorry for the long question it's just been a long time since I played.

For a racquet I would recommend either the latest babolat version of nadal's. he uses a great racquet. Also the latest head radical is very good. i use it and love it. Believe it or not i love vokl grips when it comes to tackyness. Gamma also has great grips. Tenniswarehouse is a great site for everything tennis oriented especially clothes. For shoes go with the barricade V. You should use a shock absorber it just makes the sound of the ball coming off the racquet a lot more pleasant. Which do u think is the best grip and shock dampeners for tennis racquets?

Aditya, I did a full evaluation of 8 different brands and models of Overgrips last fall. Bottom line the Best is Yonex SuperGrap followed by Wilson Pro Over and third is Gamma Supreme Over.

You can buy both the Yonex & Wilson in the bulk multi pack reels. I get my white Yonex SuperGrap reels off Curtis Ikeuchi from Chicago curtislovestennis on the tenniswarehouse.com buy/sell board or the Wilson Pro Over white reels here. Look at the left hand very bottom pics.

Prince and TechiFibre both felt greasy and TournaGrip blue sticks to your leather when you try removing it and breaks down quickly too. Volkl isn't bad though I'd put it 4th.

Dampers - personal preference since some like them wide like the Prince Vibrazorb
or worm so it covers more main strings and dampens better but you loose more feel.

I still use Volkl dampers in my Wilson Kfactor tour 90's. Easy to insert and the shape is the same on both sides so no one can predict the butt cap result when I spin for serve.

Dampers are a cosmetic choice thing that pretty much all work the same no matter what the manufacturer writes on the packaging. What ever you do don't put an elastic band or rubber band in your strings. Not only does it look STUPID it doesn't dampen worth shat.
