Sets Babolat
New tennis racquet: Which is best for me?
Hi, I've been playing tennis for about 4-5 years now and I've been using the same racquet since, and I've noticed that I've suddenly changed and am no longer able to cooperate with my racquet anymore. I am a baseline player and try to avoid volleys. My friends tell me that I am a power hitter, and on my other racquet which is a Babolat: Pure Drive, I have my string tension set to 60. I am looking towards a racquet that will give me more control rather than power, for I can do that myself. I would favor maybe another Babolat racquet? Or a Prince [I've heard that the O3s are good.] But anything will work for me. If anyone has any suggestions please post, for I am going to a tennis store soon and am going to demo some of the racquets. Thanks you always Yahoo users!

Go to a good coach and get feedback from them about your playing style, then go to the stores (more than one) and get a bunch of different feedback. Don't forget they're trying to sell you something.
Also, check out the reviews on Tennis warehouse .com. Personally I used to be a big Wilson fan, but I'm shifting. Now I like the Prince 03 tour, and I'm debating getting the black. But I don't like the synthetic strings I got for my P03. I used to get 1/2 natural gut and 1/2 synthetic. So, strings make a difference too.

Do i need to lower Luxillon Big Banger tension if its a hybrid?
I play with Babolat Pro Hurricanes full string bed at 58
but i want to do a Luxillon Big Banger Alu Power Spin hybrid with a synthetic gut.
I herd that for big bangers you have to go down 10% for tension? Do i have to do that with hybrid sets?
should i string with 58 (big banger as mains) and 60( at crosses) for better feel?
For most luxillon strings its better to go down 10% for tension. For hybrid, keep it around 10% but a bit less. If you go 58, then go around 54 or so.
You don't want tension for big bangers to be at 58, its much too high and you'll lose the controlled power of big bangers.
The synthetic gut will give you better feel, try not to raise tension to increase feel, higher tension gives better "control" but it's all preference.
