can i get in shape for tennis in a month?

okay so this year is my junior year and i was hoping to join some sports and extracurricula rss so i can get into a good college. im not superathleticc but the tennis team doesn't have tryouts and you don't have to know how to play the sport...they can teach you. they start practice on august 10th. this means i have just over a month. do you think i can get in shape by then? what exercises should i do? i know i wont make varsity or anything... i just want to make jv. and by the way, my sister used to be on the tennis team, so i bet she will help me practice a little bit.

i'm starting tennis august 12th and i have been in tennis since i was in 6th grade (going to be a sophmore next year.) High school tennis is a lot more work and during my practices we run a lot, mostly a lot of foot drills. Since my practices start on the 12th, I started running the first of July for about 30 mins a day. It's so during practices while running I am quicker and don't get so tired. Have your sister feed you some volleys, backhands, and forehands and then hit around with her. Tennis is very fun and enjoyable once you get the hang out it.
