Why You Shouldn't Ignore Your Managed Super Funds
Many people go through life simply ignoring their managed super funds. It could be that they simply forget about them. Or they think that a managed super fund is something that their employer will take care of for them. But this is not a good policy. For a start, although it is a legal requirement for employers to pay into a managed super fund for you, some may not. This is often the case where an employer is only a temp. And in fact it could be that you are a temp. without really knowing it, as businesses sometimes seem to put staff on and off again with boring regularity. Even if you have changed jobs several times in the last few years, you should still take care to find out about your managed super funds. In fact, it is even more important to do so, because you may have several different managed super funds that are not giving a very good return. But by consolidating them into one unit, you could see a big improvement. Why leave money on the table? This managed super fund could well provide the bread and butter for your retirement years. With a little forethought and a few extra financial additions from you over the years, you may even be able to have jam and cream occasionally. So be pro-active in finding out all about those managed super funds that have your name on them and make sure they are working as hard as possible for your future. When retirement comes, you'll be glad you did.

I want to claim that the above is not technically a mixed metaphor because it is perfectly possible to hold serve while not being overrun by Democrats. You'd all have to come out to my palacial Indian Hill estate and lie in wait only to discover that I don't play tennis at all. I just spend the summer on the patio lounging in my vintage 70's tennis garb. Sometimes I choose Fila(a la Borg) and others I opt for Sergio Tacchinni. Always by my side is my trusty Jack Kramer Pro-Staff flyswatter.
I like to wear my socks up to my knees. Not as a fashion statement but because it provides calf support. You need any edge you can get. You know, If I actually were to play tennis.

This idea that the national or federal policy is better is pure BS.
The EPA allows stricter standards by a state-by-state basis and CA as well as many other states have laws on the books stricter than the feds. Same with OSHA. A state can have a state program as long as it is equal too or greater than the feds in strictness of laws.
