Prince Junior Tennis Rackets
tennis help!!!!?
I just started playing tennis this summer but I want to get serious & try out for the h.s. tennis team. I need a new racket because I have a Prince junior racket. I've tried a Babolat racket & it was really nice. Any other good brands? (fyi---I dont want a junior racket anymore tho) It would be very helpful if someone could find a racket under $100? please help me...xoxo
I'm in a similar situation as you. I started tennis last summer, and I want to get serious. I had a pretty crappy 'Head Ti. Agassi Pro' racquet, but just ordered a 'Head Liquidmetal 4' tennis racquet from Tenniswarehouse.com . It seemed to suit me and there are other racquets under $100.
Also, this website: http://www.doittennis.com/racquetpro/ helps you find suitable racquets for you based on the info you enter in. Just adjust the notches on each side of each category.

First- Ever Prince Plugged In World Championships
whats happening to my playing of tennis?
I've been playing tennis for like 2 years, now. i'm on the varsity team in our school. a few months ago, i was much better than now, and that time i used a wilson junior racket, and only practice 1 hour, during saturdays not really every week. but now, i became worse, idk why. with this new prince racket [adult]. i even practice 2 times a week, 1 and a half hour on the those days. i dont know why, but my coach thinks i lost my stands and such... but i always practice? help, please. =))
There are many things. One that i've really noticed was the racket. I use 2 rackets now. One for top-spin and other for flat powerful shots. Maybe you were used to a certain play style and when you changed the racket it had quite a difference in the effect.
Another is how you practice. If you train with a coach all the time you get used to his play style, and when you face another opponent, that guy maybe a newbie but the play style is so different that you may lose. I played with some guys that had a terrible serve, slow and low.. I had to run to the net and then lost to a lob or a deep shot on the other side.
It could also be a kind of "quick sand" period. You might see that you are failing and with each mistake you do every time worse. The only way to avoid it is to focus on each point instead of the last, but even pro players can't stand it many times.
The last is a stage in which YOU might think that you are getting worse because you miss more shots or lose more points, whatever. The thing is that you could be seeing a weak point developing now, but your other skills might be improving (say volley) and if you don't notice that you think you are just getting worse because of the previous weakness.
WELL, HOPE WHATEVER IT IS YOU OVERCOME IT QUICKLY AND PLAY BETTER ^^. GOOD LUCK.
