Power Racket What happens when you put power strings on a control racket?
I want to buy the Head Microgel Prestige Pro. It's a control oriented racket with a 16x19 string pattern. It is recommended to use control strings they said on the racket, and it is head light. What happens if I put power strings on it?I hear from a lot of people that it is low on power. I am currently using a head heavy racket with luxilon strings strung at 52.5 lbs.
Try it! A lot of people like putting powerful strings on a controlled frame. You might not want to string it fully with the luxilons, but using them in a hybrid set is quite popular.
There's no formulas for what strings are good on what racquets. It comes down to individual preferences. And it never hurts to try something out. Worst that happens is you don't like it, and you try something else the next time.

its great. i think it would be hard to find a babolat or a wilson with this budget unless there is a major sale. dunlop is great not ofcourse like wilson but here's what i found and its in ur budget too.
like 39-hp and slightly over 400-lbs (compare SWing-600 at 49-hp and 500-lbs). I like that ABS/linked brakes are standard. I wonder how stable at highway speeds it is.]]>
