Oversize Tennis Racquet
What are the advantages and disadvantages between these tennis racquets?
The Youtek Radical midplus, oversize, and pro.
i think the advantages and disadvantages of a racquet is very subjective. i'll just share what i felt as i played with some of the racquets you mentioned here.
1. Head Youtek Radical Midplus
i currently use this racquet. it feels headlight and quite maneuverable. serves are nice and this racquet helps flat hitter a lot (though slice are achieveable, and kicks are harder to produce). volleys are deep. slices might need faster swing (or it's just me being lazy sometimes). topspins landed deep if you hit with full western grip and with fast, long swing. lobs are less measurable (again, it's probably just me).
2. Head Youtek Radical Lite
i also play with this racquet when i feel too tired. well the headsize is not as big as Oversize, but it feels as light. for some serious players this might feels too light. every serve is dangerous with this stick, but lacks the heft. try adding more spin to your kick serves to make it harder to return. volleys are quick and sharp. slices have too many bites like it would bend outward after bounced. topspins landed deep, but you need to control your strokes to avoid hitting out too much. perfect stick for intermediate players. combined with Head Synthetic Gut (especially 18 gauge), this feels like heaven for me. i can easily broke the string after 1 hour of playing.
3. Head Microgel Radical Pro
again, not exactly like the Youtek Radical Pro, but feels as heavy and solid. i still have this racquet in my bag, just for fun. try this only if you have enough muscle as pro players do. i mean muscle, because being strong enough proved insufficient to hit with this stick consistently. i would humbly rate myself as a mere 4,0 player on the NTRP scale, and i could only hit normal shots for the first 15 minutes with this racquet. only fast and long swings will do. serves landed harder and any spin bounces the ball in a weird way. volleys are deep, slices have some bites but you can make deeper ones. topspins landed near the baseline and are harder to return. this is quite the opposite to the Radical Lite, because with this racquet you need to hit as hard (and as good) as you can. this racquet is not forgiving for 4.0 players, just not your average club racquet.

At what size is a tennis racquet considered to be Oversize, also, r they bad competitively?
An oversize racquet is a racquet with a head over 105 square inches. The other typical categories of a racquet head are midsize(90-95 square inches) and midplus(95-105 square inches).
I played a lot of competitive junior tennis when growing up as well as varsity tennis in high school, so I have experience using all three racquet types. Oversize racquets can help generate a lot of pace on the ball due to the larger hitting zone (sweet spot), and more spin can usually be generated.Yet, it's harder to control the ball with such a large racquet head. Control is important for competitive tennis, probably more so than power. So, I would say that the racquets are really better for beginners. I usually used a midplus when playing, like a 98 square inch head.
