Microgel Oversize
Need a secondary tennis racquet. Any suggestions?
Hi, I want to get a secondary tennis racquet because I've been in situations in tournaments where my racquet strings have broken, and I want to make sure I'll be prepared for that. I use a 4 1/2 inch grip, and I'd like the racquet to be either Head or Prince. Any thing under $100 would be good too since it wouldn't be my main racquet. I use the Head microgel, so some thing similar to that would be good, and definately not any thing oversized. thanks.
I would just invest in another racquet of what you are currently using. I have been in the same situations and it's very helpful to be able to use the same racquet because otherwise you will have to adjust to the feel of another racquet in the middle of your match. This can totally screw with your game. If you plan to play lots of tennis or take it up pretty seriously, just go ahead and invest in another good racquet that you know works well for you! Good luck on the court!

Which tennis racquet?
I'm looking at buying a new tennis racquet. My previous racquet was a Head Metallix 6 and I'm looking for something a little bit similar but with a touch more control and feel. I liked the oversize head but would definitely not go any bigger than the 115 square inches on the metallix. My playing style is mostly from the baseline but will approach the net sometimes, and I like having a big serve. I am ITN 6.0 in Australia, not sure what that is in the American system, probably 3.5 to 4. Some of the racquets I was considering are the Babolat Aero 112, the Babolat Drive Z 110, Dunlop Aerogel 700 and maybe the Head Microgel Radical Oversize. Any suggestions or recommendations welcome.
Well from what you've described here,If I were you,I would go out and demo a few of these raquets just to get a feel for what they're like and how they play.I personally recommend Wilson raquets but Head is also a great company.Look into these raquets, demo them out,and find the one that suits your game the best.Good luck!
