Medal Ribbon Award
If I change my branch of service, will I be able to wear my previously awarded ribbons/medals?
If so, are they limited only to the awards that my new branch hands out or all of them? Please provide a reference (such as an order) if possible.
I was active duty US Army, then Army National Guard & currently Air Guard (USAF). I'm allowed to wear my Army ribbons/medals. If you had been awarded the Army Combat Infantryman's Badge & you enlisted over to the USN or USMC you would wear the Combat Action Ribbon & vice-versa. Jump wings can be worn in all branches but your Navy Surface Warfare Badge can only be worn in the USN. I don't have any orders to give you on it. If the award/badge is specifically that service then that's the only place you can wear it. Your personnel center will be able to tell you.

It could be lead. However it is most likely an alloy of multiple metals.
