Junior Agassi

Did Roddick's game suffer because of Federer+commentators?
I remember a long time ago Rodick's game worked.
The serve, and the base line game (minus the back hand)
But after losing to Federer people (commentaters, probably paied by Federer - Jokes) started to say things like, "You need to volley more, more powerful back hand etc.
Since working on those issues, it seems to me that his once strong points are not as strong anymore.
Maybe if he stuck bullishly to what he was good at the Federer-Roddick match would carry a little bit more suspence.
(been Federrer's fan since his junior years but now I want a real rivery)
Then again though he is not 100+ in the rankings its time to do a Andre Agassi and shave his head?
A year ago Roddick was on the ascendency. He had beaten Federer in Kooyong and his confidence was high. Then Federer put on the display of his life in that semi final. Roddick never recovered from that. So to answer your question, it was Federer alone. It has nothing to do with commentators.

Taylor Dent VS Agassi kid
Who is the next great American tennis player?
Americans used to be in every final of every Grand Slam event. Now, the only American male with any hope of getting past a few rounds of play is Andy Roddick (Blake is too hit-and-miss), and the only American females with any hope of winning are the Williams sisters. I miss Sampras, Davenport, Seles, Agassi...who are some American tennis players who are young, talented and up to the challenge? Do we have any junior players about to hit it big? Why is American tennis having such trouble (aside from Serena and Venus, but their injuries make even them susceptible)?
I'm talking upcoming Americans, not current Top 10 players (and Sharapova isn't an American.)
The problem with American's is that there are so many other sports to play. The money is in the NFL, NBA, or the MLB. Tennis really isn't a big sport around the country because it really isn't promoted. Although, the USTA is promoting tennis more, tennis will never be at the same level as the NFL. The next great mens player I think will be Sam Querrey. He is strong and has a good serve and forehand. He has hit with Sampras, Roddick, and was a Davis Cup practice partner so he is learning the game. American kids with promising careers ahead of them don't want to move to a tennis academy in Florida or California at the age of 14-15 like the other players do from other countries. It's kind of weird that players come from Russia or the Czech Republic, or Serbia to play at Bollettieri's Tennis Academy, and yet the American's don't really have an interest but don't get me started on that.
