I need supportive sandals, but I can't pay the rainbow price!!?

I have very bad feet problems (overdid it with tennis last summer: tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and two stress fractures), but I'm now recovering. I wore flip flops the other day and they really hurt my feet. I need to find some sandals, not one that look like I'm going hiking, but just some flip flop like sandals that I can wear with shorts and a t-shirt. I know Rainbows are out there, and i love the way they look, but I'm not willing to pay $50 for sandals, unless they come from my doctor. I know I might have to just get custom sandals, but I want to do my research first.
