Who wants to be loved by a robot?

I have no need to offend anyone's (non or otherwise) spiritual belief system, but just for the sake of debate...

Surely if you'd really love to be loved by someone you'd want it to be their free choice?

So wasn't Adam & Eve's decision to eat from the 'Tree of Knowledge' an absolute necessity if they were to really and freely love god? I mean, yeah they ran terrified - but wouldn't you if you could suddenly see where you'd come from?

So aren't the Abrahamic religions (I don't actually know if Genesis is in the Quran, but I guess it is) doing us a bit of a diservice in trying to pursuade us we're sinners in need of saving (or whichever equivalent for muslims)?

Like, isn't that the ultimate 'protection racket'?
