Gamma Grip What type of tennis string should I use?
I'm fifteen, and I play tennis competitively. Currently I'm top 40 in the state of Georgia in my age group. I have a semi-western grip, and I tend to hit the ball with little spin. The ball that i hit is generally pretty flat, and hard. I have been playing with a Gamma Mono-blast for the mains and a Gamma synthetic gut with Duraguard on the crosses. I break the mains about once a week or two. Both my coach, and a guy that I hit with tested out my racquet. They said that I needed a string with more bite. I'm wondering if that is the reason why I don't get much spin. I want a string that is durable, gives good control, and has good bite.
I generally tend to hammer with my opponent from the baseline, but I also come to the net, and use slice. I have a big serve, in case this affects anything.
I string my own racquet, and I currently play with a Prince Speedport Tour. I'm probably going to change racquets soon, so the racquet doesn't really matter though.
I'm also a junior playing competitive tennis! I had a similar problem before, but I've sorted it out. I recommend using Luxilon Big Banger Rough for more power (yet controlled) and if you want you could also try out the spin edition (for more spin). All big banger strings are very durable. I tend to play around 11 hours a week and I break strings around once every couple months.
You could also try using Head sonic pro for a very controlled feel with lots of power, spin and great feel. However, the sonic pro strings aren't as durable as the big banger ones. The big banger strings give lots of 'bounce' off the strings and sometimes can be a bit overdone, so I would recommend the head sonic pro strings as my first choice.

Help me choose a new tennis racket?
I am getting a new tennis racket and I need help choosing. I like what I read about the Head Youtek speed 16X19 and the Prince tour diablo. I own an old tennis racket (Gamma powerstick lite 226). The racket is very unforgiving if I don't hit the sweet spot and whenever I don't hit it the grip loosens. Help me choose a comfortable racket for intermediate tennis players (mid to midplus).
