What is an immediate stay as a response to a court order?
Please explain what it means to file an immediate stay as a response to a court order. Thank you.
A STAY is at least a temporary stop. Like if someone is going to be executed at midnight..... and one minute to midnight the prison hears that there is a STAY OF EXECUTION...... the person does not get executed at that time.... but may be executed another day.

As such, it is a form of consent order. The order permits either party to apply to court to enforce the terms of the order, avoiding the need to start fresh proceedings. Bitter Family Feud Over Faith
How does one go about getting a court order?
My uncle just died. My mother is the sole surviving sibling, but she's in a nursing home and bed-ridden and 3,000 miles from the bank.
The safety deposit box at the bank may or may not contain the will. The bank says they must have my mother present to open the box. My mother is confined to bed. The only alternative is a court order (or so they tell me at the bank.
How is this arranged.
Go to an attorney and tell him your situation. For a small fee he/she will help you fill out the proper forms and obtain the court order.
Also a legal service clinic in your area.
In some communities (where the attorneys are less stingy) clerks of court can give you all of the proper documents although they are not allowed to give you legal advice.
