Cortex Tennis Racquets
Adding weight to tennis racquet?
I use a pure drive cortex and i've been experiencing some arm problems.
I've demoed heavier racquets and i seem to like the added weight in addition to less strain on my arm.
i'm looking to add about 15-30 grams of lead.
the pure drive is 5 points head light and i'd prefer not to deviate from this number too much. Tennis warehouse has a guide that says to add weight to the arch at the neck of the racquet in order to lesson change in balance. However I dont find most players adding weight there.
Where are the best spots to add the weight and what % of the total in each spot?

That's a lot of lead, pal... And I mean - a LOT. If you don't want to affect the distribution, you can put some under the grip, and some around the head. Indeed, you can put it around the throat as well. Typical locations are under the grip and at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock (if you are using discrete weights) or along the perimeter of the head (if you are using tape).
My suggestion is to experiment and see what works. Word of advice - use something like a guard tape (duct tape works just as fine) to cover the lead tape/weights - or it WILL come off.

Babolat AeroPro Drive GT 2010 Unboxing
How did AeroPro Drive Cortex feel? (Tennis Racquet)?
I bought it to replace my old broken racquet but did not demo'ed it. When it arrived, I was exhausted by how heavy it was and it became a pain for my arms, wrist, and elbow.
Yet, a month later, I now am addicted to using that racquet for every game (I got 4 other different ones). My arms adjusted to the weight and I now notice the intense spins and pops on my serves. This racquet is incredible, anyone's thoughts?
My friend owns a pair of the rackets and he let me try one out. I feel that the original aeropro was significantly more pleasant on my arms and had more control compared to the cortex version. With that said, the racket has gained a significant power boost-comparable to the old pure drive team plus I used to own. I switched to the Wilson K six-one 95 and am loving it. It has less power compared with the babolat line, but it's much less arm intensive and way easier to control.
