Plus Coaches
I was wondering which Wii fit games are better to buy, Wii Fit Plus, EA Sports Active or My Fitness Coach?
I mainly want to use one of these Wii fitness games I choose to purchase to lose weight in some areas of my body and also maintain my weight. If there is anything better than these three games above please put forward your suggestion. Thank you
I have all of the above! I like a variety of workouts--I can't get motivated if I get too bored, and the different programs help me reach different goals, too.
I don't like EA Sports Active, so let's get that out of the way. The cardio is excellent, and the program works at faster pace than Wii Fit Plus. It bores me to tears, though, and still has obnoxiously long videos and other sections where I can't hit the A button to skip ahead fast enough. I feel like there's not enough connection between what I'm doing and what the on screen representation of me is doing. The high frustration and low fun make this one not worth it for me, and my friends don't care for it either, but we seem to be in the minority on this one: the reviews on Amazon.com were pretty favorable last time I checked. *shrug* To each his own, yes?
Now then, one of my favorites: My Fitness Coach. It isn't the most fun title, and there's very little resemblance to anything I'd call a game. But it's an amazingly intelligent program that's custom-fit to you. It takes your stats, tests your abilities, asks you what your overall goal is and your goal for that particular workout, then keeps checking in to see if what it's doing is too hard or too easy. I'm very impressed. I've gotten bored of it with a year or so of use, but I still use it and consider it money very well spent. At $20 ($30 retail, but who pays retail?), I got more than my money's worth.
My Fitness Coach is a no-brainer. Wii Fit Plus is just under $100, so it takes a little more thought. The cardio can be somewhat lacking. There are a few exercises that have better cardio to them, but you have to keep your goals in mind when you select your workouts. It was more than worth it for me as I used it to rehab an injury, but I know it isn't for everyone. My soccer-playing boyfriend had no use for it: he spent nine hours a week on the field or in a gym, and would get no benefit from the light workouts. I like it because it's fun and great for pain management for the injury, but I have to have other games and activities for tougher workouts. It just can't give me everything I need. I tell people to find a friend who has it and go play it a few times to see if you want it.
I'm also a big fan of Gold's Gym Cardio Workout (which is really a rhythm boxing game) and DDR. They're fun and they're great cardio! They also feel more like games and less like workouts, even though they'll make you sweat. I use Sambe de Amigo or Helix to warm up before Gold's Gym because otherwise my arms are too sore to move for about three days after. Ouch!

I'm glad to see Parcells step away. To me it looks like Jerry Jones would be a hard person to work for, plus dealing with T.O.'s problems, and there's another issue!
How many other owners do YOU see on the sideline during the game trying to get the team motivated....I see none...It just irrates me when I see Jerry on the sidelines, to me that shows that he has no faith in his coach, plus you would think the players are intimated by the owner being on the sidelines.
