Cap Hat White

White cap or Black cap to wear to go in the sun?

Which is a better cap or hat to wear when going out in the hot sun (tropics) ?

White or light colored
or
Black or dark colored

White or light colors is supposed to reflect heat.
Black or dark colors is supposed to absorb heat.

In that context I would choose a white cap.

But someone tells me: Lot of people in the tropics have black hair on the head. Nature has made hair black because while black color absorbs more heat than white color does, it also releases heat quickly that white color does. So when going out in the sun, it is better to wear a black (or dark colored) cap.

Can't quite remember the physics at school. A bit confused about the argument above.

What do you advice? A white cap or black cap to go out in the sun?

White. Your head will feel much cooler. When I've worn black anything I get totally sunburnt all around the edges of the black because it is attracting the sun to me and I am super hot and fatigued when I wear black.
