Meet Joe Black - Whisper Of A Thrill
Its now or never!
This is an old story of two old friends who lived some 90 yrs. ago in a remote village of Punjab Pakistan. One was a farmer and the other a shoe mender.They had grown up together and had seen many ups and downs of life. In the early 20's when their teeth were begining to fall the rain washed away all the village mud homes into the muddy river burrying their parents in the undug graves. No one cared for their grief as every one was carrying his own grief, even the sky was dressed in black and weeping day and night.
Finally when the sun came up people lifted their heads, burried their dead and started living again, and so did the two friends Fazal and Alam.
Fazal became a farmer and Alam learned the trade of shoe mending. Farming was known as the most respectful and shoe mending was considered as the most degrading work, yet the farmer and the shoe maker were like peas in a pod, united in mind and soul.
They both grew up to be fine young men and were admired by the young women, yet no one father was willing to give his daughter's hand in marriage to either of them. An elder of the village told Alam that he could find a bride for him if he would get Fazal out of his house and life and compell him to leave the village. Alam looked straight into the eyes of the elder and said "I can't give up my brother for a bride".
A lot of water passed under the bridge of the buddy river that had swollowed their loved ones and once in a way they would stand in running water of the river and tried to feel the precence of their parents who were carried away in to the sea.

As Alam the farmer was working his shoe broke and that evening when he came home he told Fazal about it, Fazal took the shoe and kept it in his work shop and told Alam that he will mend it asp.
The next day Fazal saw his broken shoe and requested Fazal to please mend it. Alam's reply was the same...I'll mend it asp don't worry.
Alam's shoe broke when he was sawing, it was now harvest time and his shoe still sat in Fazal's work shop covered with dust. The sun was slipping down the hills as Alam hrrried to the house.
Fazal the table for dinner as Alam entered the house a walked straight into Fazal's work shop, he picked up his broken shoe dusted it and showed it to Fazal saying..."It only needs a few stiches, please do it tonight because I have to go the market tomorrow to get corn seeds, I'm going to grow corn this season. Will you mend my shoe now please". "I want to but I can't". "Why asked Alam". "Because I have loads of other shoe to mend". "But when are you going to mend my shoe"? "When I have time".
Time passed on and on a rainy evening when Alam came home Afzal had gone home. Alam knelt by Fazal's his eyes rained on his friends face as he wispered "You have time now, please mend my shoe now", on time still? ok take your time, I can wait".
