Most durable string? ASHway crossfire kevlar string are they good, durable? please help me! thanks!?
Hello i've heard that kevlar is the most lasting string so i saw these products and i want( ASHAWAY CROSS FIRE ) both come with the kevlar set for mains and synthetic gut for crosses now i want to ask whats the main difference between 16 and 17 gauge on feeling or ( comfort ), durability, power and control... or would be better to make it all kevlar for more durability or its not worth it? if you can answer me this would be incredible! thank you very very much!!!!...
The most durable string is Luxilon,and you can string both crosses and mains. now luxilon rough has a gage of 16 L which gives feel.Kevlar is durable but not as durable as luxilon,in addition,kevlar lacks feel....is more like a board.

help with string hybrids?
i had my pro use pro hurricane tour babolat cross and tecnifibre red code main both 16g at 58 lbs. i loved the feel of it absolutely loved it.
i bought a stringer but my mom wouldnt buy these strings cause theyre so expensive. she bought the ashaway kevlar 16g main and gamma synth gut wearguard 15g cross. this hybrid gives me all the durability i need took me two weeks to break the strings( the reason we bough the stringer is because i popped at least two a week with my loveable hybrid and my pro charged $35 to string it) i recently hit with my beloved strings on my friend's racket and realized the slight difference in my game. is it worth going back to the $150+ more expensive string that lasts shorter? Help?!
You ask a very good question. I assume that you are a high level junior player since you break fairly durable string very quickly. What I would suggest is going with a high quality string that is a little cheaper than what you were using. Better strings do help you to play better. I would recommend trying kirschbaum string which is very durable and also plays very well. Try the Pro Line II.
If you don't want to switch to a slightly cheaper yet very good string then you need to think hard whether you want to put the extra money into your strings for the improved play. I don't know your financial situation but think hard before you make any purchases.
