String Tension and Strings for racket?
I am getting either the Wilson K6.1 tour or Pure Drive Gt Roddick plus. I'm. Going to get Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power Rough on mains. What tension should I put on the Wilson and the Babolat or are they supposed to be the same tension for any racquet basically?
The string tensions can vary dramatically from racquet to racquet. The specs are on the frame but some times you have to search. Look on the inside of the throat or on the hoop around the edges. The two racquets you have mentioned are VERY different and will play differently as well - have you tried them out and played with them at all? Yes, I know the weights are similar but the headsize and beam width are very different. I know nothing about you so choosing a string and a tension is harder when I don't have the whole picture, like your age, build, experience, level of player etc. Alu Rough is a poly and is suitable if you are a good player, adult size and hitting a lot of topspin. It isn't ideal for juniors and is a waste of money for beginners.
For your tension, decide if you need - not want, more power and have it strung a bit below the mid range, or if you need more control, have it strung above the mid range. (sometime the tension is given as a range with + or - 5lbs, and other times it will be say 50lbs - 60lbs) Tighter for more control, looser for more power. Just remember, more power will often cause you to hit the ball out more often!

Which is better Luxilon alu power rough or babolat pro hurricane tour?
I need power and control. Is it also a good idea to hybrid these two or just go full bed. Recommend the tensions. Any other good strings? Also What's the best racquet from head's youtek series, no oversize or lite. Thnx
If you like alu power rough you will love luxilon big banger original , It's way better than Alu and 10 times better than Alu rough ... I string big banger original full and It is amazing . Never tried babo pro hurr...
