Will this be an awesome pc?
My friends and I are building a pc. Here are the parts:
Ultra aluminus atx mid-tower case
EVGA nforce 780i motherboard
intel core 2 quad 2.66ghz
nvidia 8800gt
ageia physx card
hitatchi deskstar 500gb
sony 20x dvd/cd drive(burning/reading)
ultra x3 1000 watt power supply
3-4 gb nvidia sli edition ram
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro cpu cooler
3 mascool blue LED 80 cfm 120 mm case fans
a zalman 6-fan controller
a Corsair Dominator Memory Airflow Fan
A memory card reader in a drive bay
and a green 12" Green Cold Cathode light tube
We are also going to get several free hard drives and a good sound card from some older pcs. My friend has two twenty inch screens.
All these parts we are getting for $1270+S&H.
Is this a good deal?
i will be pretty good might have a few probs if you try to run something like DOOM or Space invaders other than that itll be cool

Corsair® AirFlow™ Pro
My airconditioning for my home is not cooling as well as usual. Cold air is coming out of the vents but not?
but not blowing as hard. Seems the airflow is much less. Any suggestions before calling in a pro?
Change the filters, you can go to any home repair/maintenance store and get the replacement filters. Make sure you measure yours first (the measurement size should be printed on the filter) before you just pick one. Ask your landlord if there is more than one filter in teh house, or where it is located if you are not sure, but it should be in the vent that the air flows out of.
You should do that at least once per year, saves you money and works wonders.

You couldn't run Crysis at all max setting because you'll need DirectX 10, or X10.1 for Crysis warhead. You should install Windows Vista, not Windows XP, and it's a quite pity to have such a good hardware configuration, but it's performance limited because you use windows XP.
Nice settup that you ahve there everythign should workl great.
But look at gettign a different motherboard. Look at gettign one that has crossfire so that inf you want to upgrade int the feature you can run 2 cards together.
Also get rid of those ram cards and gett ones that run at 1066mhz.
WHY GET RAM THAT RUNS AT 800MHZ WHAN YOUR MOTHERBOARD CAN RUN RAM AT 1066NHZ????
Get eather one of these as yoru ram. Shoudl look for 4gb of ram
FOR A MOTHERBOARD LOOK AT THESE TWO. they are bette than the one you have up.
OVERALL you have a nice computer build there just need to read up on what you got and best to go onto newegg and read reviews on your parts. Any motherboard you get make sure it is a AM+ socket. The new phenom II processors are coming out 1Q of 2009 maybe 2Q. They will run on AM+ pockets.
